Great news for all the swimmers and sunseekers out there.... Need a place to cool off when the sun's out blazing? Why not chill out by our outdoor pool? After a dip in the pool, why not relax in comfort on our outdoor patio; where chilled drinks, ice-creams and snacks are on hand at our poolside kiosk. It's the perfect venue for the whole family. When does the Outdoor Pool open and close? It will be open during the summer months only, from 8am until 8pm (or dusk if earlier), Sunday to Friday, and 8am until 6pm (or dusk if earlier) on Saturday. Opening times are weather permitting (at the discretion of the Pool Supervisor) from Monday 25 May 2009 until Sunday 6 September 2009 inclusive. The Outdoor Pool does not close between 2pm to 2.30pm. All those not with all day tickets will be asked to leave at this point. Q2. What happens if the Outdoor Pool closes (ie. for rain)? If it happens when there is a public session in the Main Pool, you will be able to continue your swimming (in the Main Pool). Unfortunately, if there is any other type of session, you will not be able to continue your swimming. Q3. Are there specific sessions for the Outdoor Pool?Yes - the Outdoor Pool mirrors the sessions that are running in the Main Pool eg. If there is a Public Session, Over 50's, Adults Only or Ladies only session in the Main Pool, this will also apply to the Outdoor Pool. The only time this does not happen is when the Main Pool is closed for 'Lessons' ie. Tuesday and Thursday 4pm - 6pm. During these sessions, the Outdoor Pool becomes a public session. Q4. If you want to stay for most of the day, can you buy a special ticket?Yes, we have all day tickets available (please note there are no concessions available on this special ticket): Q5. Can I buy all day tickets at any time? They can be purchased up to 1.30pm for use on that same day. Once you have bought a session ticket, you cannot upgrade to an all day ticket. Please be sure of your decision before you pay. Q6. What do all day tickets include? They cover the use of all three Pools (Learner, Main and Outdoor) during public sessions only (excludes fun sessions in the Learner Pool). You will be asked to transfer to the Outdoor Pool, between 2pm to 2.30pm when the indoor Pools are closed for cleaning (every day of the week). Q7. What happens if I lose my all day wristband?Unfortunately, we are unable to issue a replacement band if you lose yours for any reason. The bands are designed for use in the swimming pools and will not come off easily. Q8. Does the colour of my band mean anything?New coloured wristbands are introduced on a daily basis. All-day bands are also a different colour from pool fun sessions in the Learner Pool. Q9. If I want to come in as a spectator for the Outdoor Pool, how much does it cost? Spectators will be charged the full admission price. Q10. Can I take food into the Outdoor Pool area? All food consumed on the premises must be purchased from one of our catering facilities (outside kiosk, Kool Kids, Main Restaurant & Burger Bar). Riverside Ice and Leisure reserve the right to alter any details listed at any time without prior notification. This information is correct at time of publication.
