Ice Disco Sessions

Run by professional DJs, you can enjoy an evening of ice-skating in a lively disco atmosphere at Riverside Ice and Leisure. Full disco facilities are provided with the latest chart topping music, lighting, smoke generator, record requests and speed skating sessions....

Information and prices valid from 1 April 2010 until 31 March 2011.

Please note that strobe, flashing and / or flickering lights, as well as loud music operate as part of the effects during some ice sessions and events. All you have to do is decide which of the three evening disco sessions or two afternoon disco sessions, you would like to go to!

Please note that during busy periods entry to sessions may be subject to delay due to large queues.

Ice Rink Closure for refurbishment - updated 27 August 2010

Due to the need to carry out extra work on the ice pad there will be a delay to opening the new facility. The provisional date for the public re-opening of the ice rink is Tuesday 5 October. Evening Disco Sessions
Who's the DJ on the disco night? Want to know the top 10 requests? Be able to vote for your 'tune of the night'?.........

1. Meltdown

• Come & skate to the finest in House, Trance, RnB, Drum and Bass and Garage sounds at Riverside.
• Every Friday night, from 8pm to 10pm
• Just £6.40 including skate hire.

2. Zero Degrees

• Chill out every Saturday night to the urban sounds of Garage, RnB, Hip Hop and Drum and Bass.
• From 8pm to 10pm.
• Just £6.40 including skate hire.

3. Deep Ice Grove 

• The coolest Ice party around!
• The best in disco and dance music, every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 10pm.
• Just £5.50 including skate hire.

Afternoon Disco Sessions
For all the family and friends - come down to Riverside for one of our friendly afternoon disco sessions.

• Doors open at 2.30pm with the sessions finishing at 5pm on Saturdays. A fun packed afternoon run by one of our professional DJs, with all our favourite chart songs in a superb environment. You have not been skating till you have been here. Cost £5.90 per person (does not include skate hire).
• Sundays is a designated 'Family' Disco Session and is more ideal for the younger skaters. This session is dedicated for those who are fairly wobbly on the ice. This session does not include a DJ. Running from 2.30pm to 5pm for £5.90 per person (does not include skate hire), what better way to spend your Sunday afternoons than in the Ice Rink at Riverside?

Spectators are charged the full admission price during afternoon and evening disco sessions. This excludes adults accompanying children under 14 years, who will be charged at the normal spectator rate.
