Venue Hire

Set in the heart of the County Town of Essex, the Chelmsford Civic Theatres offer a range of venues available to hire for productions, private functions or corporate events. All are easily accessible - only a short walk from the rail and bus stations.

The Civic Theatre is a 505 fixed seat auditorium with full technical facilities; the Cramphorn Theatre offers a flexible studio space. 

With foyer space and bar areas, the Chelmsford Civic Theatres offer the perfect venue for seminars, training, exhibition, presentations, parties and performance.

Catering to suit your requirements and budget can also be arranged with our in-house catering team.  Anything from tea, coffee, a pay or tab bar to a full buffet can be provided.  A full bar service is available at both Theatres.  (Please note that food and drink consumed on our premises needs to be provided by the theatres' bars and catering team.)

The Civic Theatre box office, an established computerised system, can provide a ticketing service for all events taking place in our venues. The box office can also act as an agency for events taking place outside our venues.
