The Chelmsford Showcase for Business is a major event helping to support local businesses and those wishing to invest in Chelmsford. Following the highly successful inaugural event in 2009, the 2010 event will again be staged in November to complement Global Entrepreneurship Week and will be held at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford town centre.
This free to attend event will give businesses a fantastic range of help and advice through a series of seminars and workshops, an exhibition area, great networking opportunities and other business related events. It will give an opportunity to visit stand-holders to gain help and advice from a range of exhibitors representing the private and public sectors.
The Showcase brings together a range of organisations offering sound advice on business promotion and marketing, employment law, tax advice, finance, training, exporting and many other relevant subjects. There will be around 30 exhibitors, more than 10 wide-ranging seminars and presentations and plenty of opportunities to network with fellow businesses and the experts.
Organised by Chelmsford Borough Council in partnership with the Chelmsford Business Forum, the Showcase will again be supported by several key local firms and business support organisations. Those present will be on hand to give advice and help to those already trading, organisations who wish to relocate to the borough and individuals contemplating setting up in business for the first time. It will be an outstanding opportunity to experience everything Chelmsford has to offer to the business community.
Last year around 500 business men and women visited the event to experience 26 informative seminars, five key business events and visit 38 individual exhibition stands. In the post evaluation of the event over 90% of those attending rated the experience as 'good' or 'very good'.
For the 2010 event there will again be a series of informative and topical seminars and an extensive showcase of exhibitors, advice, help & guidance. It will continue to build upon the wide range of activity and support available as well as illustrating the extensive range of commercial opportunities that exist in Chelmsford. The Chelmsford Showcase for Business will be the 'must visit' event of the year for anyone engaged in or intending to become involved in business and entry will be free to pre-registered visitors. A full programme and booking form will be provided in the right-hand menu in due course.
Taking place on Wednesday, 10 November, the Chelmsford Showcase for Business 2010 will prove a beneficial source of information, help and guidance to all businesses from start-up to multi-national. Darren Dormer, MD of Spacio, who exhibited at the 2009 event, said: The Chelmsford Showcase provided us with an excellent opportunity to raise our profile and inform the local business community how we can help business that need to fit-out or refurbish their workplace. It also enabled local firms to discover local business service providers, who may be able to offer a fresh and innovative approach to solving a previously insurmountable problem.
Opportunities will exist throughout to network at the Showcase and in particular at any featured / sponsored events with an opportunity to discuss business issues with the experts.
