To get an idea of the festival's delights take a look at the video below: Photos from 2009's festival can be seen by clicking on the link on the left of this page. The activities for this event are specially selected for their suitability for the very young. Adult carers also have lots to do, with information and advice about parenthood available from several organisations. Refreshments, bottle warming facilities and space to take time-out from all the activity were available onsite at The 3foot People Festival.
As far as we are aware, The 3foot People Festival is the only event of its kind in the country! The 3foot People Festival is created and managed by the Cultural Events Team at Chelmsford Borough Council with support from Play and Parks Services, M&G Investments, Meadows Shopping, The Essex Chronicle, Essex & Suffolk Water, The Printing Place, BBC Essex and High Chelmer. This sell-out event created and managed by the Special Events Team took place for the third time from Tuesday 3 - Friday 6 July.
From Tuesday 11 to Friday 14 July, an area of Chelmsford Town Centre was transformed into a magical oasis for under 5-year-olds, as Chelmsford Borough Council's Special Events Team presented the '3foot People Festival'.
An area of Chelmsford town centre was transformed into a garden of delights for pre-school children when Chelmsford Borough Council's Special Events Team presented the '3 Foot People Festival' from 12- 14 July 2005 in Bell Meadow Park.
