Play Strategy 2007 - 2012

The purpose of this strategy is to provide a good quality, stimulating, safe variety of play provision for children and young people aged up to 16 years throughout the Borough of Chelmsford.

Image depicting Play Strategy This is done on a multi-agency basis bringing together partners form the statutory and voluntary sector with common objectives. It does this within the context of national, County and local policy frameworks.

It has been developed by Chelmsford Children & Young People's Strategic Partnership (with Chelmsford Borough Council taking the lead role) and focuses itself upon the concept of free play, defined by Play England.
