If you are starting to plan your wedding, venues do book up very quickly. Working around a specific date may make finding that perfect venue difficult. Alternatively, finding the perfect venue and then choosing your date is a more flexible approach, that can make it easier to create the wedding of your dreams.

With so many things to organise for a wedding, knowing where to start can be daunting. In order to give brides-to-be a helping hand, Hylands House is hosting 'The Wedding Guide's' Grand Wedding Fayre on Sunday 25 February, from 11am until 5pm. This is the ideal opportunity to meet with local wedding suppliers as well as a chance to look round Hylands House.

Hylands House has a dedicated Hirings Co-ordinator who will be available throughout the day to discuss Civil Ceremonies or Partnerships and/or wedding receptions, which can be held at the house on Tuesdays through to Saturdays (inclusive). A number of other key staff will be available on the day to discuss specific wedding requirements.

Hiring Hylands House for a ceremony or partnership, offers you exclusive use of the house throughout your hire. Hylands House is a beautiful grade II* listed building set in 570 acres of historic landscaped parkland. With its stunning white Georgian façade, Hylands offers a spectacular and elegant setting for your special day.

Licensed for civil wedding ceremonies since 1999, Hylands staff provide a friendly, professional and experienced service and work with you to plan the day you want. There is a range of rooms and settings on offer, giving you the freedom to choose your ideal surroundings. The beautifully ornate Victorian Drawing Room and elegant Library provide exquisite backdrops for wedding ceremonies for up to 80 guests. Alternatively for a smaller gathering, you may prefer the intimacy of the Georgian Small Dining Room or Boudoir.

Formal meals are taken in the impressive and magnificently restored Banqueting Room, and the marble Entrance Hall and Grand Staircase provide the perfect backdrop for drinks and dancing at your evening reception (up to 120 guests). Informal buffets and seating can be offered in the adjoining Blue Room.

To give you an idea of how Hylands House will look for a wedding, you can also come along to the Wedding Preview Day on Sunday 25 March between 11am and 6pm. This provides you with a chance to see Hylands House fully set up for a wedding ceremony and reception, as well as meeting with local suppliers and further opportunities to meet Hylands' dedicated Hirings Co-ordinator.

Entry to both the Wedding Fayre and Wedding Preview Day is £3.30 for adults and £2.30 for concessions.
