Chelmsford Borough Council Sports Development Unit has teamed up with cricket clubs in the area to host a new event for 2009, Play Cricket, on 23 and 27 June. The days are timed to coincide with the Twenty20 World Cup and will aim to build on the interest in Cricket that the tournament will generate.
Chelmsford Borough Council Sports Development Unit has teamed up with a five tennis clubs in the area to host Play Tennis 2009 on Saturday 11 July. The days are timed to coincide with the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and will aim to build on the interest in Tennis that the tournament generates.
The Danbury Bike Festival takes place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2009. The event comprises "The Little Havens Off Road Bike Ride" on the Saturday and the "Mud Sweat & Gears" Mountain Bike Races on the Sunday.
