Advanced visitors notice for Hylands Park areas affected by The 3foot & Fling Festivals
Hylands Estate – Preparations for The 3foot People and The Fling Festivals 2014
Attention All Park Users
Please be aware that between Fri 20th June and Tues 1st July some parts of the park will be restricted for your safety.
Vehicle access to the park is not affected and both main entrances will be open.
House & Stable Visitor Centre visitors – Please use car park near the visitor centre (see map).
North Estate park visitors – Please use car park area via Entrance 2 at Greenbury Way (see map).
PLEASE NOTE: This car park will be smaller during the above dates and access to the parking area next to the Adventure Playground will be restricted.
South Estate park visitors – Please use car park at Entrance 1
All entrances can be used.
Public Restricted Area
Both The 3foot People Festival and Fling Festival uses the same event site. Before, during and after the festivals, heavy vehicles and machinery will be operating. It will be necessary to restrict public access to a small part of the Estate (see map) for your safety.
This remains open for the duration; however it will be necessary to close the small “under 6 only” section from Monday 23rd to Sunday 29th June. Please note that both the smaller play area near Flint Cottage plus the new playground area a short walk away in Paradise Road, Writtle will be open for the duration of the above event.
Please take care in the surrounding area to the Hylands Estate Adventure Playground as Romans Walk will be used by construction vehicles.
Friday 20th June: Construction work starts with some heavy vehicles using Entrance 2
Fri 20th June to Tues 1st July: No public vehicle access to parking area next to Adventure Playground (other parking areas from Entrance 2 remain open).
Tues 24th to Thurs 26th June: The 3foot People Festival
Saturday 28th June: The Fling Festival
