Christmas Shopping Fair

Note to general park users - Widford Church entrance will be open during the weekend. Normal park hours apply.

 

Our very popular Christmas Fair offers free entry to crafts, gifts, decorations, fine foods and drink, something for everyone! Over 160 stalls are sprawled across the Stables Visitor Centre, Grand Pavilion, outdoor areas and within Hylands House, whilst entertainment is provided throughout the day.

 

See the House and Stables lit up after dusk and take in the festive atmosphere with a hot toddy.

 

Santa's Grotto

Drop-in sessions are available 11am - 6pm during the Christmas Fair. You will be allocated the next available slot. Last entry is at 6pm.  Shows start on the hour.

With plenty of festive cheer and fun for all the family, come along and see Santa in his Christmas fun show and Grotto.


Grab a handful of magical elf dust with Timbo, Santa’s head elf from Santa’s workshop. As he
tells you the story of ‘’The Night Before Christmas’‘ he will also train your children how to be an elf to help Santa, with lots of Christmas fun and prizes!

 

Your ticket price will include entertainment and a lovely Christmas gift from Santa to take home, suitable for all ages including under-3s. Also available is an opportunity to purchase a photo of your child with Santa, a great little keepsake or lovely gift for Christmas.


The whole experience can take up to 45 minutes.

 

Children £10, Adults £3, Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) £20

 

Children under 12 months may spectate for free but will need a ticket to participate and receive a gift.

Festive Carriage Rides

11am to 12.30pm & 2pm to 3pm from the front of Hylands House.


Take a ride around Hylands Park in a horse drawn carriage. What better way to experience life as it was back in the 1700s! Carriage leaves from the front of the house every 15 minutes.

£2 per person

 

Funfair rides and Snow Globe

11am - 7pm. Funfair £ variable. Snow Globe £8 per group of up to 8.

Traditional and children's rides are available all day, located around the event.

 

 

Land Train Rides

Available between 11am - 7pm, £2 per person.

Train operates continually between the car park and Stables Visitors Centre
