By Conor McPherson, from the short story by Daphne Du Maurier
Based on the short story that inspired Hitchcock’s legendary film, this atmospheric adaptation is an emotionally charged psychological thriller.
For no apparent reason, masses of birds have begun to violently attack at high tide, driving strangers Nat and Diane to take refuge in an isolated, abandoned house by the sea. They form a bond to survive their haunting new circumstance, but with no electricity and little food, the tension is high and hope wanes.
Yet if two is company, three is a crowd. The sudden arrival of a cuckoo in the nest, in the shape of a mysterious young woman, signals the real struggle for survival.
THE BIRDS ARE NOT THE ONLY DANGER
